This is for my mother who doesn't like scantily clad women OR dead things. Strange, I know. We don't often see eye to eye, but I think the only problem she could have with this that sparrows are supposed to be brown. ...but I like them RED!
Unfortunately, this is yet another example of my scanner being a stupidhead. I hate this on screen, but I'm pleased with the result irl. Fooling around with a few watercolour pencils I found hidden in my desk. Should have used better paper though.
You're right about the scanner. The blue showed up much better irl. Maybe you should nut out a few ideas for the rest of the set, and we'll get you some good paper (plus any other materials)... perhaps even set some standard dimensions to constrain it to since your mum wants them going up the stairs. Perhaps square frames?
Aw shit. This means actually spending more than 10 mins on each of them, doesn't it? And planning. If I'm going through with that, I'm buying a stack of new materials. You can help me sort out tricky stuff, like dimensions and framing...and give me some ideas.

Thanks! I love sparrows. I'm always feeding them when I go out for lunch. It's awsome how they're brave enough to flit into cafes and hop about, searching for crumbs on the floors and tables.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
