My scanner is an evil, manky machine of doom!

I am annoyed as all hell with my stupid scanner. The awful machine keeps ruining everything- making watercolours super blotchy and crap. It isn't just paper quality, because no matter how expensive the paper is, it still looks crap after being scanned in, no matter how pretty the picture looks irl. I hate it! :(

I have several pictures I'm not even going to bother uploading because they look so shitty when I scan them. It sucks. Idk what to do. Different scanner? Photograph them instead?
